Brad Pitt is Trump, Manson Family are Democrats

I couldn't help but draw unintentional parallels between the hippy dippy loser Manson family crushed by Brad's character and today's Democrat party crushed by PRESIDENT Trump. I'm sure lefty political sites will pan this movie for similar reasons.

Dat be Leo since he boss man and Pitt is gop partay

reply

Since Trump is already Hitler, and Charlie has a swastika on his forehead, all three are the same person. Lefty logic!

reply

We know you cannot help it. It is being taken into account.

reply

Interestingly enough, for a few years after the murders, many American Leftists admired Manson and thought of him as a 'hero of the revolution' for killing wealthy establishment types. Lots of Leftist papers and magazines published articles praising him. Some of these people responsible later became Democrat Party elites.

reply

Can you provide sources?

reply

I'm looking. A couple of years ago I found several articles. Seems harder to find now. Keep checking back. I forget the names of the actual people involved.

Edit: Here is a source:

https://www.breitbart.com/the-media/2017/11/19/charles-manson-a-villain-in-death-served-as-a-counterculture-hero-in-1969/

Quote from article:

"The charismatic Bernardine Dohrn, later a friend of Barack and Michelle Obama, feverishly told Weatherman followers: “Dig it: first they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they even shoved a fork into the victim’s stomach. Wild!”

reply

The Weathermen were pretty crazy, so I'm not surprised a member also went on to praise Manson. Although Brietbart is pretty biased.

reply

They may be biased, but the facts remain: she said it and she and her husband Bill Ayers, a fellow 60s radical, are staunch friends of the Obamas.

If conservatives are held accountable for things they said 50 years ago, the same should be true for liberals.

reply

I don't disbelieve that. I've never liked Ayers. I didn't know much about his wife but it doesn't surprise me. I think they are exaggerating a bit with the Rolling Stones articles and stuff.

reply

Probably easy to check it out for accuracy, if one is so inclined. Here is the cover with the photo of Manson that Breitbart said looked visionary:

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/bb/14/47/bb1447067a00feb65d5b1fe33b4dc6f9.jpg

reply

That cover claims he is the most dangerous man alive. Hardly a compliment. Now, I won't deny there is a large amount of sensationalism in the article. It is sleazy, no doubt. There is a difference between sensationalizing murders and condoning murders. If there is a criminal in all of this the Left has hailed as a hero, it's Roman Polanski.

reply

I agree with your statement on Polanski.

About the "most dangerous man alive" claim: the late 60s and early 70s was the age of the anti-hero and 'sticking it to the man'. One could argue that that statement was indeed a compliment of sorts for the time period and the demographic of the readership.

reply

Your source is breitbart? ROTFLMAO!!!

reply

They were reprinting it. It's available countless other places, so just keep right on ROTFLMAOLGBTQRSTUVWXYZing.

reply

"Countless other places" - right. And what's the source for this propaganda?

reply

How about C-Span? In this video interview she is trying to make it seem like she was 'joking' when she said it.

"The Weathermen dig Charles Manson,” declared Bernardine Dohrn, "

Chicago Tribune, Obama's hometown rag

New Yorker writer Elizabeth Kolbert noted that "It was sex and violence and, more specifically, the sexiness of violence that the group contributed to the revolutionary cause." She said that the Manson murders were treated by the Weatherman as an inspired political act, and she repeated a 1969 quote from Bernardine Dohrn, a leader of the group:

" 'Dig it,' Dohrn declared. 'First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. Then they even shoved a fork into a victim's stomach. Wild.' "

reply

[Still chuckling] You really have too much time on your hands, don't you? Or as I said, are just angry & obsessive. She's talking about stuff that went down 50 years ago.

And where in all that text does it prove that Dohrn is a "friend" of the Obamas?

reply

Derp. She's the wife of Bill Ayers, one of his mentors.

reply

Mentor? LOL! Ayers was never Obama's "mentor". Where do you get that crap? They happened to sit togetheron the same board, the Woods Fund of Chicago, for all of 3 years. The Republicans tried to make hay with that during the '08 campaign and it rightly went nowhere.

reply

Roreyking: asks for additional sources
whynotwriteme: Takes time to find additional sources
Roreyking: You have way too much time on your hands.

Makes total sense.

reply

Lol! I was thinking the same. He has no rebuttal.

reply

Your "sources" are all about a single statement by one woman back in the sixties...you're really doubling down on this, huh?

You're full of shit and you know it. Sure, you've got a single incident from an underground rag read and written by radical militant types, but that absolutely doesn't translate into "many leftists", "Lots of Leftist papers and magazines"

But hey, great attempt at sowing hate and divisiveness. You're just part of the noise, dude...and what a waste of time to have to call you out on what you damn well know is bullshit.

reply

I'm very sad for you. You've been brainwashed into supporting a cause that you probably think is a good one. Too bad you haven't developed your analytic ability to see exactly what it is you have swallowed. I won't be replying to you or your sock roreyking anymore, so any retort you squeak out will have been in vain.

reply

Lol you were searching for a source, had to edit your post here later after finally finding one...aaaand its Breitbart. No...just...lol yeah, no that never happened and your source is for shit.

reply

Lol, Yeah, Lol. How's these sources?

Liberal/Feminist are complaining about the movie Once upon a time in Hollywood because the main characters Brad and Leo defeat the angry Liberal dirty hippie scum produced by the sick mind of the coward know as Charles Manson

reply

LOL! Who are these people (whose politics you hate) that you claim are complaining?

reply

Are they....or are you completely full of shit? Because its definitely one of those.
I'll speak plainly here, to remind you of what you already know.
Charles Manson took advantage of young people, many of whom found themselves destitute after relocating themselves to participate in the hippy free love stuff. He was a monster of a person who manipulated them into serving his will, which was all about starting a race war.

That is the exact polar opposite of what the hippie movement was all about.

So no...nobody is complaining. Anywhere.

Personally...maybe I need to take an anger management course or something, because this kind of propagandist stupidity...Jesus Christ you're an absolute moron. I get that you're so embroiled in your own ideology that you want to make shit up to spread divisiveness, but are you really so goddamn stupid as to think people would buy such blatantly bullshit bullshit? Wow...please don't breed, please...

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Attacked By Feminists

https://boundingintocomics.com/2019/07/31/quentin-tarantinos-once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood-attacked-by-feminists/

"The film first came under fire after it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and a reporter questioned Tarantino regarding the amount of lines Margot Robbie has.

Since, the film is now seeing a wider release, it’s coming under attack again. This time The Hollywood Reporter’s Joelle Monique is leading the charge. In a lengthy article Monique claims that Tarantino built his career on using violence against women as a humorous punchline.

She specifically targets Once Upon A Time in Hollywood because the film showcases the murder of the followers of Charles Manson, two of which are women."

by the way, my post was a quote by another user, not my words..... but it looks like that person was not far off

reply

The Tex Watson character and the dirty male hippy at the ranch we’re both had violence used against them as well.

Would the feminist be satisfied if the part of Booth had been played by a female?

The article is a bunch of PC crap. lol

reply

Trolls will troll, but this is stupid.
You couldn't help but draw "unintentional parallels", but are sure that lefty political sites will pan the movie for the same reasons...
Dude, the movie has been out for awhile now, the reviews are out in force. This is a nothing burger of a thread.

reply

You know nothing about the Manson case. Manson hated hippies. Pitt and DiCaprio's characters just thought they were hippies because of their looks.

reply

Irrelevant.

reply

Manson was a fascist who wanted to rule the world. Definitely had some parallels with the neo conservatives.

reply

Manson was hardly shown, but his followers were shown doing all the typical liberal loser things like yelling "pig" at police just for driving by. Why am I trying to have a discussion with an NPC?
