Worse than death proof

The ending was funny but the rest of the movie was boring.

reply

Can we delete these trolls? This is why IMDB boards got shut down. Get a life loser.

reply

trolls...... for having an opinion? Get a life loser.

Always in favour of deleting other opinions.

censoring and hateful left wing libs-SJW's .. was the reason the imdb boards was shut down.
criticise hollywood actors, and their anti western views will get the censorship police on your back.

hence the imdb shutdown.

reply

Bro this guy gave a one sentence reason why the movie is bad and his name is bonerman. Clearly a troll and you’re clearly a racist.

reply

I think you're confused on what a troll is.
It's someone who is purposely giving a negative review just for the reaction of the fan boys of whatever movie is the topic.
I genuinely did not like the movie and I wasn't looking for a positive or negative reaction to my post, just putting it out there that I think this is Tarantino's worst film. Even worse than death proof.
Boring movie with a pointless plot just to alter history in the end with a hilarious twist.

reply

I definitely believe you..I also think many of us are frustrated by QT altering history again. I guess the ending is hilarious similar to Inglorious Basterds ending?

reply

It’s not a biopic buddy it’s a fictional movie what are you talking about.

reply

Semi bio pic. Some of the facts (locations, dates, people) are real. If he didn't want any bios, why didn't he just make his crap movie w out any references to real people?

reply

Nope it’s a completely fictional movie just some characters are based people. You’re really a stupid one bud.

reply

Nope. They were real characters. Spahn ranch and Cielo drive are real locations whether it suits your blind fluffer Tarantino love or not. You are wrong and being a fool.

reply

Is the movie fictional? The answer is yes that’s a fact not an opinion. Go watch a documentary if you want.

reply

It is still also a semi bio pic. Go hug your Tarantino wall poster.

reply

"These reimagined biographies are sometimes called semi-biographical , to distinguish the relative historicity of the work from other biographical novels "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biographical_novel

reply

It’s a fictional story. Rick Dalton isn’t a real person bud. Sharon Tate is dead.

reply

But you barely strung a sentence together in your opinion of the movie.

The issue is not that you didnt like it, you are entitled to say so, but all you can say is one word...boring?

You cant say why it was boring? You should at least be able to expand on that.

Therefore, dont be surprised when you are accused of trolling, because seriously that's how you come across.

reply

"You cant say why it was boring? You should at least be able to expand on that."

This is not the review section of IMDb, it's a discussion board. Ask him and he might elaborate.

reply

You’re a smart one

reply

Evidently.

reply

The problem with Trolls is that they are unable to elaborate on why they find a movie unsatisfactory. Bonerman's post is useless and only there to start trouble. If he could give reasons why, I would be up for listening, but instead he just seemed to want to stick it to people who enjoyed the movie.

reply

Which perfectly illustrates the low IQ quotient of posters like this.

They don't get or understand a movie, and they think it's the fault of the movie.

Plain truth is some people just dont understand movies in general. The fault is theirs. That's the harsh truth.

reply

how am i clearly a racist?

reply

It makes sense when you understand the modern definition of a 'racist': Someone who offends a Liberal with truth/facts or is winning the debate.

reply

exactly...... not only are left wingers and libs low IQ creatures.... they also washed out the word racist.
It has no meaning anymore, they call everyone that word. They truly are the enemy of people everywhere.

reply

[deleted]

why?

calling everyone you don't agree a racist, isn't that idiotic

reply

[deleted]

True...

They've worn out the race card.
It's overdrawn and expired.

reply

No, they got shut down because studios are just as oversensitive as you.

Just explain why you disagree with him, maybe it could turn into an interesting discussion.

reply

Stop with the logic and common sense! What’s wrong with you?

reply

Oh darn, I keep forgetting logic and common sense don't belong on a movie message board! Back to being unreasonable again!

reply

Someone states his opinion--that some of the movie was entertaining but much of it bored him--and he's a "troll" and a "loser"? The IMDB boards got shut down because idiots like you kept flaming other people for no intelligent reason. Thanks a lot.

reply

He wrote one sentence and just says it was boring. No explanation on why. Clearly a troll so just stop.

reply

Bonerboy's opinion is moronic. But he/she/they has/have every right to have and express that moronic opinion.

reply

Anyone who has an opinion that others define as annoying can be a troll, and that in fact can turn out to be anyone, you and me. And so there comes the reason people can be equipped with for censoring free speech. Even hatred itself is subjective. And when this platform is not owned by anyone but only the moderators themselves, they can not delete anyone. People are free to get rid of someone if they're in their house or they own the space they intrude upon, not in a place open to everyone. Imdb was in their rights to censor whatever they wanted, people were just guests, however we're responsible, respect different opinions otherwise other people who own places like this will follow your example and start tolerating less and less, censoring and deleting more and more just for different opinions alone.

reply

nah...this is one of the best films of the year so far.

reply

In my opinion QT fans don’t usually consider the moments of violence or the comedy as the best parts of his films. It’s the dialogue, attention to detail and the small things that make his films the experience that they are. The nods to eras in film gone by that make them special to the majority of his fans, in my opinion.

I’m glad you enjoyed the ending. Oh, and Death Proof is one kick ass movie. 😀

reply

I like what you wrote here. The small things are what make a good film. Plus, he’s always clever.

reply

[deleted]

The photography was amazing. Some truly next level shots in this for QT. But my lord, it was a bore. I feel like he got so excited to make this movie he forgot to write it.

reply

[deleted]

A valid opinion? Just saying something is boring is also boring. At least he could have elaborated more. It is hard to take someone's opinion seriously when they sum a movie up in just one word.

reply

[deleted]

Unfortunately I didn't see his comments on the other posts. I will look for them.

reply

I totally disagree. This film was not boring at all and much better than Death Proof. I would rank Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as his 3rd best film.

reply

I’m looking forward to seeing this. Which of his films are ranked 1 and 2 on your list?

reply

Pulp Fiction is # 1 and Hateful Eight is #2.

reply

[deleted]

I saw it with a good friend, we enjoyed it, laughed at funny parts.enjoyed the child actress..Julia Butters as young Meryl Streep-before-her-time Trudi.

reply

still think Death Proof is his worst.

rank this one maybe in top 5 .!

reply

Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Django
Kill Bill 1
Kill Bill 2
Jackie Brown
Inglorious Basterds
Hateful eight
Death Proof
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

reply

for me it's gotta be:

Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown
Reservoir Dogs
Inglourious Basterds
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Kill Bill 1 & 2
Django

then

Hateful eight
Death Proof

reply

Pulp Fiction
Django Unchained
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
Inglourious Basterds
The Hateful Eight
Jackie Brown

Kill Bill 1&2
Death Proof

Reservoir Dogs

reply

While I don't necessarily agree with its placing on your list I've always felt that Reservoir Dogs was grossly overrated and greatly benefited from its close proximity to Tarantino's breakout & best film Pulp Fiction.

reply

Costing only $1,200,000, Tarantino's first feature film has quirky glimmerings of future greatness, as seen in "Pulp Fiction," "Jackie Brown," "Inglourious Basterds" and "Django Unchained," but "Reservoir" didn't work for me.

It's hampered by a low-budget vibe, which I can handle, but not the uninteresting lowlife characters, their self-made conundrum, their interminably dull dialogue and the one-dimensional setting where about 80% of the story takes place in an old warehouse, not to mention no females in the main cast.

Still, it's interesting to observe Tarantino's first serious stab at filmmaking and it has its moments of entertainment. It's a lesson on humble beginnings, which shows potential while not being up to snuff.

reply

Reservoir Dogs lands on number 6 on my list for many of the reasons you cite except the absence of main female characters. I can think of many great films I like that have no main female characters and I don’t think it affects those films or Reservoir Dogs negatively.

reply

Misogynist!

reply

(Just kidding, lol)

reply

:)

reply

1. Death Proof
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
4. Kill Bill 1&2
5. Jackie Brown
6. Reservoir Dogs
7. Inglorious Basterds
8. Django
9. Hateful 8

reply

I haven't seen Django yet so it's left off the list. I'm including Once Upon... but since I'm still thinking about the film it might move up or down on the list.

Reservoir Dogs 10/10
Pulp Fiction 10/10
Jackie Brown 9/10
Kill Bill 1 9/10
Hateful eight 7/10
Kill Bill 2 5/10
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood 5/10
Death Proof 4/10
Inglorious Basterds 3/10

reply

interesting Inglourious Basterds is last.

some consider QT's finest work.. hmm can't beat the 90s though First 3 are the foundation

reply

It pained me to think that lowly of Basterds because when I first saw it I had high expectations for it. Aside from the ridiculous ending, the whole film struck me as contrived and juvenile, it seemed like a version of what "playing war" was like when I used to do it with my friends when we were 8 years old. I dunno, maybe that was Tarantino's intention, but I just found it trivial, and somewhat insulting. Maybe I'm spoiled because I think for "modern" takes on WWII, the apotheosis was already reached with Saving Private Ryan and even more so, Band of Brothers.

reply

Almost every scene was an endurance of tension until someone broke. I dunno what the hell you're talking about.
