.....so i doubt this is Steve Trevor back from the dead....if it is he dies again sometime between 1984 and 2017...lol...

I think they are quietly trying to let most people forget about Justice League.
You don't hear anything about the Cyborg movie anymore. They may use the Flash to retcon things but who knows?
Batman has been recast and I don't know if they officially said Cavill was done as Superman but they aren't doing anything with him.

How they plan to bring back Steve is a mystery. If Patty Jenkins is a fan of the Lynda Carter series she may say that this is Steve's grandson. But how weird is that? Diana actually slept with Steve before he sacrificed himself. So if she gets romantically involved with his grandson now you have an immortal Amazon working her way through the male members of the Trevor family! That's pretty weird, even if that Amazon is Gal Gadot.
