I guess at 97 minutes (minus credits and mid-credit break) it probably was. It moves at a good pace with humour and I enjoyed it, but didn't love it - which seems to be my standard response to the films I'm catching at the cinema at the moment.
For me the best bit was Naomie Harris - I thought she was very striking in her role.
It was a very simple movie (venom gives birth to carnage, venom and eddie break up, carnage/cletus run amok, eddie gets venom to help). Just kind of a straightforward action flick. I think the runtime worked for it since it wasn't looking to do anything complicated.

shareThe first 40 mins were a complete bore. Nothing much happens. While i enjoyed the Brock - Carnage dynamics to some extent i am hoping they wont make them have sex in the next one. That's the only thing missing to fill up more time.
If you ask me they could have turned it into a short film.
