Was not as bad at the first thank goodness!

I am so happy that I actually did not cringe as many times as I did in the first film. That after credits scene has me hyped. Anyone getting too overhyped about Hardy joining the S6 in NWH needs to take a chill pill.

Tom vs Tom. Or maybe they team up as unlikely allies?

I liked it til they had Venom kill Cletis Cassidy at the end by biting his head off. I really would've wanted to see Maximum Carnage on the big screen but now we won't ever get to see it. Screw Sony on that!

I wish these comic book movies nowadays wouldn't be so quick to do that, so there'd at least be that potential.

reply

Yeah. Not to mention if you kill off all the best villains in some of these you end up with mediocre villains eventually.

For what purpose would Venom be a bad guy all of a sudden though?

The first one was good. Didn't like Michelle Williams, nor Tom Hardy but the movie was very entertaining. I love the loser-turns-into-badass concept.

This one though......failed miserably. Nothing enjoyable about it.

First one was okay, but this one was terrible.

Strangely, some found this to be worse than the first. Heh, maybe it is? While it may be an even sillier movie, I thought it was executed slightly better nonetheless. It’s still a messy movie like the first, though I’m with those who found the sequel to be a bit of an improvement over the first. Enjoyable films regardless.

As for Hardy’s involvement in NWH… damn was that anti-climatic. NWH was first-rate, but come on, Venom 2’s mid-credits scene teased something bigger than what we ultimately got, lol. That said, if Hardy’s Eddie Brock has no future in the universe he briefly visited, then I can live with it… if he can still pop up in a future MCU Spidey film as an Eddie Brock variant (a much more serious and brooding Eddie). 😁 Probably won’t happen, but Marvel doing something different with Venom would be preferable.

Venom sounded much cooler in the first movie. Here, it just sounds like Tom Hardy is doing his Bane voice while drunk.

Otherwise, the first movie is slightly better if only because I had lower expectations for it. They did Venom and Carnage dirty here, and now it'll take forever to see these two in a movie again, preferably against Spider-Man.
