She's a main character on a popular TV show - THIS IS US. In that, I think she's great, but didn't think she was in this movie. I don't think her size pertained to the plot at all. Though I watched the 'extras' on the dvd and saw the real life woman, and she was plus sized, but no where near as big as the actress who portrayed her.
shareI don’t get it Voltaire. A couple handfuls of your original posts on MovieChat rightfully so(!) object to racism or sexism and the like in some films plots or casting yet here on this film you trash on a morbidly obese actress being cast in a role?
I am not saying it’s hypocritical, but it does at least brush up against hypocrisy.

shareWhy not? That is what it is there for. And in this case it is good. It showed me you care about casting injustices. (like I said in my initial reply “rightfully so”).
I know many have looked at my history and have mentioned similarly in replies to me.
In your case I looked to see if your history showed me negativity and it did not, thus I used what I learned to structure my reply.
Man if she could just lose 200lbs ...she would still be big but you know she would be hot.
