What Could've Made The Finale a Tad Bit Better Is.......

Having a epilogue that is set some time (not too long) after the events of the episode & in this epilogue we see Angela being reinstated as a police officer or at least to her secret role as "Sister Night" after Laurie decides to cut her some slack & drops the charges against her. After all she's got Adrian who's responsible for killing 3 million plus in her custody. She may even let Will Reeves go, who knows?

We see the trial of the century, Adrian Veidt finally being brought up on charges in a televised trial reminiscent of the Nazi war criminals. Then there's a snippet of Bian making a go of it without her daughter, her mother Lady Trieu. Also we witness Angela & Looking Glass reconciling.

There's a spectacular news story in the papers detailing the racist & criminal actions of the now defunct & departed Senator Keene & the rest of the 7th Kalvary.

Last but not least & something this show DEFINITELY should've done before concluding is we see a weary & scraggly Daniel Dreiberg emerge from prison after being pardoned (In light of everything that happened, why not?) with a tearful Laurie, there to greet him to take him home. She tenderly kisses his cheek & takes his hand & puts him in her car & they drive off. Bound to bring tears to our eyes.

What do you guys think?

reply

No, I don't understand why everything needs to be spoon-fed to the viewers.

reply

And besides, we don't know if the story is actually concluded yet. No need for everything to be so final.

Synopsis from last nights episode is worded as thus: "Everything ends, for real this time" Conclude from that what you like.

reply

HBO presented it as a season finale rather than series finale, so yeah, I am concluding from that what I like.

Should have had freeze frame screens for each character that told us what has happened to them in the immediate future via text at the bottom of the screen. You know, what they were up to, how many kids they had, etc. Then, a montage of outtakes to put the cherry on top.

reply

And bloopers.

reply

Of course, mixed in the outtakes.
