pure awesomeness

I don't know why I am the only one so impressed, the show is truly captivating.

If by that you mean tonight’s episode, then I disagree. The rewatchability factor for episode 6 is nil compared to the last 2 or 3 that came before it. No, I will not be taking this in again no matter how many times it’s repeated.

That's your prerogative.

It's what I would call a 'slow burner'. I'm hooked.

I just got done with the first episode. Its seems like another boring pretentious show from HBO. And one that has very little to do with Alan Moore original work. This doesn't need to be named "Watchmen" and the only reason to do so is for brand recognition for cash grab purposes. .

reply

Sorry, but after only one episode you are really not qualified to speak on the subject. In fact, you obviously have no idea just how ridiculous you sound.

reply

Well i watch more than he did and it think boring and pretentious is great way to describe it.

reply

Oh well, nothing I can do about that.

Ehhh. It's doing some things very well, other things that will infuriate "purists." Yes, I use the term advisedly. I love the original novel, but it's hardly the flawless work of genius people claim. It makes certain conceptual leaps and drops a few logic bombs, but since it stays fairly consistent internally, it hangs together just fine. The problem is, once you accept the premis(es) of the original GN, certain things about the show just don't make sense.

Ah well. It's certainly entertaining, on balance. I'm in.

reply

You are not alone in that sentiment.

reply

Good, I am glad, there is hope for humanity yet. 😄
