Seems like a weird casting, don't like her screen presence.

She was in The Leftovers and I think Lindelof thinks she is perfect for the story he wants to tell.

Shes actually a decent actress,I know shes known for comedy but she can do drama too

She is actually a very good actress. I have no doubt that she will be pretty great in this.

After three episodes with two with her being the primary focus it is pretty clear that she owns the scenes and the character.

The performances of the lead actress, and of course the entire ensemble, are quite good. Three episodes isn't a lot of time to invest and the series has been entertaining.

Episode 3 is quite revelatory as well as continues the mystery.
