Will this be rated R?

The trailer didn't really show anything that couldn't be PG-13, but one of the reviews mentions the main character learning about oral sex from a YouTube video, and the Parents Guide on IMDb says the expected rating is R. I could see a lot of teenagers getting rightfully upset that a realistic film about eighth graders - 13 and 14-year-olds - is being restricted to adults.

I just checked on IMDB, and it is indeed rated R "for language, and some sexual material". (???)

So this gets the same content rating as "Saw" and "Boogie Nights." Wut?

Boogie Nights probably should have been an NC-17, but Eighth Grade has multiple F-words and has scenes of a minor trying to learn how to perform fellatio , the R-rating was warranted. It was also fairly realistic of how kids that age talk and act.
