Deserved Best Picture, not Best Original Screenplay

"Green Book" was a safe bet for the Academy Awards ... it's a crowd-pleasing, well-crafted film. It also meant that they didn't have to pick a side between Disney (for "Black Panther") and Netflix (for "Roma") and shake things up by awarding a foreign film or a superhero movie.

But "Green Book" definitely should not have won Best Original Screenplay considering that none of Don Shirley's family were consulted on the storyline. The screenwriter has admitted that he didn't even know that they existed. That is a huge writing fail for a biographical picture.

To me the funniest part of all of this is that the dude responsible for dumb and dumber has an oscar!!!

What on earth are you talking about? Dumb and Dumber is one of the best comedies ever made.

I agree, but its just weird that the dude behind that film now has oscar for what is essentially a drama.

But the fact that the director of Me, Myself & Irene has an oscar, is crazy.
