Liked it except for the very last shot *Major Spoilers*

It didn't make any sense for him to die that long after he had been bleeding out, especially since he was just fine after the fight and bringing the kid home.

I agree. I kept remembering that the guy stabbed him but then it was like "oh everything is okay".

The movie had lots of holes in it... prior to that he has three bad guys moving in on him, the leader is actually closer to him than guy he decides to shot. He knows who the leader is, yet he shoots the bad guy that was further from him and a more difficult shot. Anyone with half a brain would have taken out the leader because it might have resulted in the henchmen deciding to just walk away.

Then the bad guy is holding the boy hostage...he close enough to the bad guy and supposedly this great marksman... why does he not just shoot the bad guy that is behind the boy? It wasn't as if the boy was so large he couldn't see the bad guys head... Nor would anyone expect the bad guy to let either of them go if he put down his gun... The bad guy's mission was to kill the kid, so why would he expect the bad guy to suddenly let the kid go?

And of course the bad guy has order to kill the kid, not to try to recruit him so why in fuck would the bad guy had hesitated when Jim put down his gun? He would have simply shot the boy and then shot Jim. It's so ridiculous that the writers ignore common sense or even their own story lines simply to try and create drama.
