Good movie, better than its imdb rating

I just finished watching A Kid Like Jake on Netflix. I'm not sure why it is rated so low on Imdb. It is much better than a 5.1 rating. The actors do a good job, especially Claire Danes and Jim Parsons. The film is smart and interesting and worth watching. I rate A kid Like Jake 8/10.
