100% on Rotten Tomatoes

Rotten Tomatoes is the worst benchmark for movie scores. Never understood why anyone would go there. Imdb is far better, or at least was, lately it has problems with artificially created scores.

Yes, I agree..Rotten Tomatoes has a bubble of critics that rate in one voice and the discrepancy between viewer and critic rating is high. I go there sometime just to see what's coming and what's available in streaming.

Anyone that uses rotten tomatoes really needs to get a life...just sayin'..

94% now, and 69% audience score. Also 74% on IMDB. Metacritic has 81% critic and 6.7 User scores. So clearly this is one of those movies loved by the professionals but not so much by the average movie fan. I myself would give it a 6.5 or 7--the twist at the end really left a bad taste in my mouth, as it made much of the preceding story unfathomable (even without it, a lot would still have been unfathomable). I have to agree with Richard Lawson in his Vanity Fair article that Peele is "trying to do too many things at once."

finally saw it and thought it was average. 6.5/10

Definitely race related.. i just watched this last night and couldn't believe the hype. The first 30 mins or so seemed promising then it got kinda boring, funny then weird.

It was way too long and didn't offer any real terrifying moments imo. Generic artsy garbage.

I know, i know I'm a racist because i didn't enjoy it

I tend to agree with you.

reply
