I was confused by the storyline of needing to look after their parents. And the medications and chair lift on the stairs. Sure you can be unhealthy at any age, but I felt like they were playing much older characters.
shareIām not sure how old your parents are but mine in their late 60s and on a lot of medication. My husbands father recently turned 70 and my mother inlaw is close to it. They too take a lot of pills. Some pills are supplements and some are prescription.

Also keep in mind even if they have slimmed down their long time weight problems could have led to early health issues. I have a brother inlaw in his 30s already dealing with high blood pressure and cholesterol problems.

Yes, the latest episode making light of this has sort of cleared it up a little, but the first two episodes made it look like we were in the home of a couple in their 80s, which I didn't like.

Yeah, you don't normally need to move home for a parent in their 60s unless they are dying or have cancer or something. They are feisty enough to look after themselves.

The Connors are pretty lucky to be alive, especially Dan (whom I thought that death from a heart attack, even back in his 40s would have been a pretty realistic outcome).
*I should add my own mother is in her late-50s and constantly talking about how she's bound to croak one of these days (no terminal illness, just general pain, diabetes and obesity). I think around this age range you can go either way - still doing relatively well or suffering greatly if past lifestyle factors (or even genetic ones) are catching up with you.
Okay, I will give you that one on Dan, he is morbidly obese so he could very well be at his life expectancy.
