The clover tattoo on the hands?

Not real clear exactly what that group was about. Were they humans? Just humans who wanted people to live like humans? Were they not humans? Could someone explain this to me?

reply

They are humans who don't want there to be anyone out there with superpowers.

It was a three-leaf clover, i.e., the common, ordinary, "normal" clover.

My guess is the group views "supers" as "four-leaf clovers," i.e., magical beings out of myth who shouldn't exist. The three-leaf clover would represent the normalcy that the group tries to maintain.

And I figure it's black b/c green clovers are used by Aryan prison gangs

Are they suppose to symbolize some illuminati group or secret powerful sect? They all seem wealthy higher class people so may be they are the kind of people who dont want the US to change because they have all the economical / political power.

Otherwise why would they try so hard to to hide the existence of super heroes among humans? Christian humanism and social justice to help save the human race?? I doubt it..

I wouldn't underestimate the power of a deeply entrenched belief & worldview, especially if it's existed for centuries or millennia. It would be a fundamentalist belief system, for all intents & purposes. That can be more than sufficient psychological drive for people born into it, or inducted into it.
