Loved that Bruce's character's son is played by same actor 19 yrs later!

Spencer Treat Clark

Just made it seem so much realer

That’s one of the things I really appreciated/liked about Glass. I initially thought his character wasn’t even going to appear in the film (for some reason), so it was great to not only see the character return but the same actor in the role. Too cool.

reply

I agree it was a lovely touch.

I was psyched to see both him and Mrs. Price (Glass's mom) come back - made the film feel like a band reunion tour

On that note, I was also impressed by how seamlessly they incorporated the "Unbreakable" footage showing Kevin's dad on the same train as Dunn.

It's fantastic they were able to do all this, so many years later. Felt really natural, like it was planned all this time to revisit it this way, as though shyamalan never fell from grace and that Disney didn't originally disparage his superhero ideas lol

reply

Also Shamalayn played his same character from Unbreakable as well.

I don't understand the part in Unbreakable where Bruce's character had a vision about M. character holding drugs, but it turned out to be a false alarm. What was the message behind that scene.

reply

It was explained in the first movie. It was part of his powers. He could sense wrongdoing but didn't know the specifics. He touched him on the line which is how he had the vision. That's also how he tracked the serial killer and saved the kids.

reply

Yes, i'm well aware of his superpowers. In the vision, M stashed a bag in his right pocket, when Dunn frisked him it was gone.

reply

So did Robin Wright not want to come back or what? I guess it worked out that each of the supers had like one companion who cared about them, but still.

reply

Yeah I was wondering about that. I suspect that it was too expensive to get her back, since Shamalamadingdong funded the film himself.

It’s probably also why the showdown takes place not on that epic new building but… on a lawn.

reply

hahaha omg, i never realized that. Shit, ur right about the climax.
Omg, I guess I was just so swept with the glass double cross, and all of it, it didn't even cross my mind.

That was my complaint about Thor: Ragnarok, and I basically accepted it here XD

Also, the scene where Dunn goes into his son's bedroom, I don't think i've seen that scene in Unbreakable. It must be one of the deleted scenes.

Ridley says 'meh'
