Longest Time Difference Trilogies from First to Finale

So this is 19 years, similar to The Godfather (18 years I think).

Most conclude in 3-6 years.

Any other real time spanning Trilogies ?

reply

not a trilogy but blade runner

The Before trilogy with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy (18 years).

Bridget Jones (15 years). This won’t count if they make another.

Robert Rodriguez’s “Mariachi Trilogy” (11 years). You might say, were any of these even connected? Still a trilogy set in the same environment.

Strictly speaking, Die Hard is a sequel to 1968's The Detective, and while not a trilogy, the Die Hard franchise ran 45 years from its start to its (thus far) end. On a side note, how different and awful would Die Hard have been had the let Sinatra have his wish and reprise the lead role?

reply

Even if we remove The Detective, the Die Hard franchise has been around for over 20 years.

Do Bond films count? Or Star Wars?

reply

Probably. Bond has been around for decades.

LOL! And so far, the LAST (yeah, in 2010 both TOY STORY and SEN AND THE CITY were said to end THEIRS then with a trilogy, and their third installments came around th same time.)

I saw thiis..the 19 year length would be very true to life since 2000 was when the first, UNBREAKABLE was released (only understandable even more and makes sense totally if the filming, 1998-2000, would be taken into consideraiton..this year just started and the first of those came out Sept.2000.)

reply

25 years between bad boys ('95) to bad boys for life ('20)

reply

19 years too from the first Terminator to the third one.
