I liked the idea, but the thing was a fiasco. Do you speak English, he asks the obviously non English speaking woman, then speaks in his own language in between.

ionno, I'd have killed that polar bear, beats raw fish, and eaten both the dead people.. she was dead, didn't even lift a finger. And even then, that's half of his rations gone.

then I'd have climbed mount snowy all fed up and caught the chopper.

And good lord, it took 2 hours to get to the conclusion?

Sorry not sorry, this one's a twat of a movie.

She was "obviously non English speaking"? Why? Because she was Asian? Being on a helicopter in the arctic was a pretty good indication she was educated, and many educated people from Asia speak some English. She actually did understand some of what he said, and she used the word "pilot". He probably spoke to her in English instead of Danish because he realized that if she did know any language other than her own, it was much more likely to be English than Danish. As for the bear, he had no means of killing it. I'm sure he would have liked to, and eaten it.

If it takes you 6 hrs to watch an hour and a half movie, I think that sort of disqualifies you from critiquing any film!
