...that he went back and looked at the woman again after he mistakenly thought she was dead and left her behind, just before he fell into the hidden cave. But I don't know why he did go back to her after he escaped from the cave. Maybe he decided to check one more time, just to be absolutely certain she was dead. Good thing he did go back, though, since it turned out she was still alive.
It's not fun. It's a brutal survival film.
shareThe whole point of brutal survival films is to provide entertainment for people sitting safely and comfortably in a theater, or their living rooms, experiencing the adventure vicariously. Such an experience is fun.

Those other people you mentioned who don't derive enjoyment from the vicarious adventure of watching a film are certainly odd, and probably very rare. They probably suffer from some sort of mental disorder.
