This is just continuing in the same direction. I'm surprised by the hate of a "supervillian". These movies stopped being plausible a while ago. I'm looking forward to it for what it is. Nothing more than a 2 hour popcorn break with my wife, and that's fine sometimes.
shareIt wasn't about the plausibility. I mean even the first film was implausible. Just on a smaller scale. The problem is they decided not to leave it in real world implausibility and now they are including basically what amounts to fairy tale shit. If that is the way they want to go so be it. But I won't bother with it. I prefer the Mission Impossible films. Implausible??? Sure....but they are also much smarter and I hope to God they don't resort to super powered bullshit to compete with that genre like FF producers decided to do. Oh well the series had 6 good movies and two really last mediocre ones. I expect this one to stink. From the trailers it certainly looks like it.

shareI like Dwayne Johnson but he's getting like Samuel L. Jackson. Does whatever shit comes along. I guess to keep money rolling in thats ok. But at least Jackson does some better films. Johnson's have been pretty bad. .
shareAll these modern action heroes are lame caricatures of their predecessors, especially Arnold Schwarzenegger, except Schwarzenegger had far more personality to provide an antidote to his inherent absurdity. Guys like The Rock and Statham have no subtlety whatsoever and are basically meatheaded morons. This has as much to do with the turds masquerading as scripts/plots they're given to do, but whoever the culprit these FF flicks are just as bad as the worst Chuck Norris movies. Unlike those days, there's no good action hero movies released now. At least in the 80s you had a few good-to-excellent ones sprinkled in with the turds, like First Blood and Diehard.
