Eastwood casts the real life heroes to play themselves in the movie

interesting move! wonder how their acting is going to be and if it will add to the tension and realism knowing these are the actual heroes from the real event.

and apparently Steve Urkel has a role in it as well! lol

I just heard about this project, and I think it's tremendously interesting. Clint is at a point in his career where he can do any project that he fancies, which probably accounts for how this got the green light, and he is ANYTHING but stupid, or cheesy. He thought this project through before moving on it, I am sure. It will be fascinating to see it.

Eastwood has directed a shockingly high amount of shitty movies throughout his career. For every Million Dollar Baby, there have been at least five Firefoxes.

And no, he can’t do any project that he fancies. The man struggled like mad to get Gran Torino made, and that’s AFTER winning multiple Academy Awards. Just because everyone loves the old bastard, that doesn’t make him a Cameron, a Spielberg or a Nolan when it comes to getting projects greenlit.

reply

that may be true, but he somehow managed to get this movie made, with three guys who can barely act, just because he wanted them in there anyway.

I'm trying to go for an entertaining, informative youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. Review right here- https://youtu.be/bSGmOeaWRDs

That’s because the budget was only thirty million, and it’s about American soldiers fighting terrorists. Red state people eat this crap up like it’s caviar, and studio execs know that. I’m being dead serious when I say that they could have actual hamsters playing the lead roles, and it would still turn a profit.

Besides, can you imagine how happy the producers were when they realized they wouldn’t have to pay the salary of a Matt Damon or a Bradley Cooper? It makes zero difference if the end result is watchable or not...it’s all about return on investment.

reply

Not even a red state person and I'd eat it up like caviar (live on the West coast, almost never voted anything but Reobulican. Eastwood himself was born on the west coast). The reason he didn't go with any Hollywood actors was because, it's been said, he could no longer politically rely on the actors to play American heroes anymore..

reply

Funny I’m the opposite. From a blue state, never voted for a Republican and never will. This movie was terrible though save the last 30 minutes. If I wasn’t with friends I would have walked out.

reply

Ugh...little by little, I keep being made to realize that Eastwood is a blindly patriotic moron.

reply

Looking forward to it, watching real heroes for a change instead of loudmouth actors.

reply

No one is forcing you to watch those “loudmouth actors”.

reply

And that's precisely why Clint E. cast the real heroes instead!
