its really interesting that so many movies today take this mindless approach... the movies make money, for sure... but somebody is bound to come along and show the rest what they've been doing wrong...
very interesting indeed.. the best movies today are Lifetime movies.

I watched it last night.

I was hoping for a batshit crazy film where Travolta plays an unhinged villain, racing around on the waves and getting into impromptu shootouts. In fact, that's kind of what I had been lead to believe it was, based on something I read a few months ago.

But no, it's nothing so entertaining as that. In reality, it's a generic and mediocre crime drama that just happens to be based on a true story. The only bright spots are the occasional cool speed boat scene, and Wax Face Travolta, who actually seems to take the role seriously even though the script sucks.

I wonder much money a movie like this actually earns from rentals, sales and TV deals.
