Using the turnstiles for traveling to a specific time 🕰️

How do they use the turnstiles to choose a specific time/date or specified amount of time to go back in time?.

First time when the protagonists goes back a "few minutes" for the highway sequence, then "one week" for the airport and then "one hour" for the assault on Stalask-12.

The film did not mention or indicate how they chose a specified amount of time or a specific time/date. I didn't see or hear anything about a "chrono calendar" on those turnstiles.

After you turn back time, you'll just need to wait. Time now flows backwards so if you wait for an hour you'll be in an hour in the past.

A bigger question is ..how did they build magic turnstiles that reversed time?

reply

They didn't actually reverse time. They just played the movie backwards.

Or why do they call revolving doors turnstiles

You don't arrive at a point in the past, you have to physically travel there. If you go back two weeks, it will take two weeks to get there.

Where do they get 2 weeks worth of inverted air to breathe?

How did the lab girl reverse the bullet.. will, belief, i.e. tenet...

Probably overthinking this... Do we really need another 5 minutes of dialogue and dials to explain this?
