Very Good Movie Except One Thing

I really enjoyed this movie. There was only one thing that really bothered me.

The scene where Mike is looking through the window and is caught by Peck was absurd! Mike was asked to check on the wife and was a good friend. For him to run from Peck like that and act scared was completely out of character for him. It was so stupid I almost turned off the movie but I decided to keep watching. I'm glad I did as the rest was very enjoyable and at least it had a good ending, unlike so many films nowadays.
