I find this very odd considering that DC/WB have never shied away from releasing shitty movies before.

Unless now have no plans to use Keaton and plan to use Affleck instead as the DCEU Batman (see Aquaman 2) bc of problems with Ezra as The Flash? in which case maybe The Flash would have to be adjusted to feature Affleck instead? (increase Affleck scenes edit Keaton out? Or maybe cancel The Flash altogether too?!)

I have a suspicion that this decision has nothing to do with the “Batgirl” film at all. I think it’s a precursor to dealing with the Ezra Miller problem. It’s been well known that this film can’t be released until after “The Flash” as it follows points of that film. That, coupled with Ben Affleck suddenly announced as appearing in “Aquaman 2” could suggest they’re working around the Ezra problem with some “Aquaman” reshoots and moving on from there. It’s very interesting.
Weird article. It’s obviously being pulled from the release schedule because it heavily features Michael Keaton’s Batman, whose return was supposed to be setup by The Flash movie. Same reason Affleck is back in Aquaman 2 (replacing Keaton’s cameo). Batgirl will hit HBO Max eventually, the bigger concern is The Flash and the obvious fallout affecting multiple other DC films.

Discovery brings in Alan Horn to help oversee things. Alan himself being a huge supporter of Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck. Then within days, Ben is seen on set for Aquaman 2, and now Batgirl has been reportedly shelved. A film that was 100% in a new/rebooted timeline. Hmmm
