A Disgrace!

This movie winning Best Picture is an utter disgrace, a shameful act for acute human race & an insult to absolute art.

This was nothing but a mash of Sucker Punch & Spider-Verse

It's no more than 5/10 at its desperate best. A mindless pop-corn flick with lame action choreography (a poor-man's 'Jackie chan' version) which lands to a pretentious outcome that 'this was all about mother-daughter relationship; perhaps it was all in her mind too'. And that end occurs in such a lame & abrupt way, where one realizes the lack of fair build-up of Mom-Daughter rift/redemption as we are slapped with this twist which establishes a bad writer's struggle to end a film.

This movie is so forgettable, needless to say waste of money & time for so many viewers in the world; it will be only remembered as the worst movie ever to win an Oscar after 'The English Patient'.

I mean even 'Crash' was better than this crap.

reply

Yeah I gave it exactly 5/10.

Totally agree on English Patient (my worst film ever, my wife's best film ever) whereas I love Out of Africa and she hates it . "Crash" it depends on which one you mean but I thought both were pretty good with the nod going to Cronenberg's. EEAAO, was right down there and I think even 5/10 is pretty generous. I can think of a ton of movies with predominantly Asian casts that were WAY better. A very bad unintentional parody of a bunch of different genre's and film styles poorly strung together by a confusing and boring script. Honestly, even the ending of Lost was better! :^D

I thought it was fantastic and a 10/10.

Tried watching the movie and just could not get through. I was curious after watching their big win at the Oscars, and now really disappointed with how bad this film is.

reply

There is nothing - nothing worse than Crash. Nothing.

Seeing as it got best picture we divided to rent it again and see if we could make sense of it a second time. Nope just as bad. Wasted rental money.
