Whoever wrote the dubbed English dialog was probably 6 years old. I really hope it is not directly translated from the original language (Swedish I think), if it is, what bad original writing. Almost every exchange between characters sounds like young children talking to each other.

"Come on, we have to go NOW"
"But my exam . . . where are we going?"
"I don't have time to explain."
Really? What the hell else are you going to talk about as you drag her all the way through the school, into the car, and then who knows how long before you get onto that motorway?
The original language is Danish, and whilst not a native speaker I can attest that the swedish dialogue in the show in episodes is pretty spot on translated, so yeah, I assume the writing is as you say.
sharePretty much all the Netflix non-English language shows have just awful English dubbing, even big budget ones like Berlin Noir.
I don't care, there's almost no way dubbed can match the voices of the original actors. There's something about the delivery of the lines and the expressed emotion that is never in sync with a spoken language dub no matter how technically good the dubbing is done (ie, matching mouth movements).
