My thoughts

I hesitated to buy this one but finally I‘m really glad I did. I dig movies that take place over the course of one night in a single location and this is definitely one of the great ones. Imagine if Paul Thomas Anderson, Tarantino and Spike Lee decided to make a musical together, this would be it. From the dialogues to the script to the cast to the music; I loved everything but what will stick with me the most is the vibe and the location. Very cool hotel and superb cinematography. My biggest disappointment was the explanation for the young hotel’s clerk’s story. It did not really click for me. 8/10

I agree with you about the style but the content was poor so I didn't really enjoy the movie, plus it was unnecessary long.

I couldn't make it past 37 minutes. It just suddenly started to annoy the hell out of me. All that singing, NO!!
