Pulp Fiction wannabe falls flat

questionable casting, and mediocre story.

reply

While I was watching I was thinking, somebody wants to emulate Tarentino.

reply

To me, that's absolutely not a bad thing. ^_^

Maybe it'll force Tarantino to be a little more creative to stay on top of the mountain. I grew tired of that recurrent revenge theme...

reply

I had the exact same thought. The plot is messy, convoluted and doesn't amount to shit. It's all style over substance

reply

and the style is not even that impressive

reply

The set builder is the real hero here.

I liked it..didn't love it. But I hardly love anything these days.
9 out of 10 movies cannot hold my interest.
I'm hungry for something just a little bit different and this was that.
It was a little long however.

reply

The first 20 minutes were excellent! The whole first act. Top notch.

reply

yep you think we will have some interesting plotlines intertwining into an amazing story but nah.

reply

It definetely reminded me of Tarantino but I didnt mind that as I really enjoyed the movie. Actually one of the better movies I've seen this year. It should have been a little shorter but otherwise it was extremely entertaining. 8/10

I agree with you. Although I thought the duration of the movie was perfect. To me it was obviously Tarantino inspired but not copied. I thought of it as an original, cleaner, "revengeless" Tarantino. It had a Jackie Brown little vibe to it. Anyway! I was glad as I do love these sorts of movies and I really enjoyed this one a lot!

Better than every Tarantino movie not titled "Pulp Fiction."
