Dead Poet's Society

GDR style, but a true story. Very well done film about East German high school students in 1956 who revolt against the government by holding a silent tribute to the Hungarian Uprising. It shows that the GDR was run by Red Fascists, but it was more nuanced and complex. Definitely Oscar worthy, especially compared to what usually wins.
