I don't think I liked this

I thought it started off great. The opening act, the miserable but funny (and distractedly pretty) protagonist, and the feel of the movie - had a Stranger Things mixed with Scream thing going on - was working for me.

But then it started to go south pretty quickly for me. Her two friends were raging assholes. Drug-dealing, shallow, unlikable assholes. Then Deena herself became unlikable.

It started small. She treats Sam like total GARBAGE because she - a teenager who still lives with her parents - moved?! It's also revealed Deena broke up with Sam, but thinks she's the one entitled . Then she literally tried to kill Sam and her prick boyfriend. LOL, WHAT?! If that isn't bad enough, SAM is the one who apologizes to DEENA?! For what? She didn't do anything.

Deena would go on to steal a gun from a cop and then hold a grudge against the sheriff for pinning the incident on her friends when she didn't even attempt to give him the story? She's copping a total fucking attitude when doing it too, like it's the cops fault he has to come up with a story when she tells him NOTHING.

Then there was the mythology of it all. How/why does each killer get connected to the witch? The witch wants Sam because she disturbed her grave (bled on it), but the witch was already killing random people. Skull Face kid killed people which had nothing to do with the grave. Then Sam randomly gets possessed......huh? She couldn't possess her earlier?
