She really sounded East African (Kenyan), technically I suppose she should have had a Maasai/Egyptian accent -- but that is too much to ask. I was surprised she was American.

I agree, she was good. I found her to be a bright spot in Apocalypse but especially in Dark Phoenix (I happen to like both films btw).

In my opinion Dark Phoenix was a masterpiece compared to Apocalypse, that was a dumpster fire for such an iconic villain. I think the wrath unfairly landed on the second movie.
