Ignoring their ages and the comics and just going by who I'd like to see as these characters:

Prof X – Billy Zane (or Terry O’Quinn)
Magneto – John Ham
Jean Grey – Christina Hendricks (or Claire Forlani)
Cyclops – Scott Speedman
Storm – Tyra Banks
Rogue – Adrianne Palicki
Logan – idk

reply

I just made one for both heroes and villains:

Wolverine - Zach McGowan

Sabretooth - Jason Momoa

Mystique - Sofia Boutella

Professor X - Ralph Fiennes

Magneto - Richard Armitage

Jean Grey - Haley Bennett

Cyclops - Glen Powell

Storm - Nathalie Emmanuel

Beast - Toby Kebbell

Emma Frost - Blake Lively

Iceman - Ansel Elgort

Rogue - Zoey Deutch

Nightcrawler - Dylan Minnette

Angel - Will Poulter

Shadowcat - Florence Pugh

William Stryker - Ben Mendelsohn

Apocalypse - Liam Neeson

Lady Deathstrike - Maggie Q

Blob - Jonah Hill

Psylocke - Katie McGrath

Juggernaut - Nathan Jones

Mister Sinister - Mark Strong

....that's all the major players I can think of. Missing anybody?

some cool choices there. Nice call on Fiennes as Prof X i guess he could play either Charles or Erik just as well.

but Ben Mendelsohn is already in MCU and Momoa too identified/prominent in DC now to do MCU as well

reply

Xavier - Mark Rylance
Magneto - Viggo Mortensen or Ralph Fiennes
Wolverine - I don't know, but a burly, hairy guy under 5 ft 10 in. tall. Get it right this time. Tom Hardy would have been great, but he's Venom now
Cyclops - Too many square-jawed white leading men in Hollywood to pick just one. No one will top James Marsden, though. He is very likable and underrated
Beast - You need someone who can project intelligence and wisdom. You need an actor with a real pedigree and acclaim
Mystique - Just don't include her. We have gotten our fill of this character in movies for the time-being
Jean Grey - Similar to Cyclops, too many beautiful, ambitious white chicks in Hollywood to pick just one
Stryker - Please do not include this character. He's a boring villain who has gotten way too many film appearances as it is
Mister Sinister - My favorite X-Men villain and a character that has not been shown on screen. The character is British, and British actors make great villains, so find a good Brit to play him. Hugh Laurie, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Sean Bean, Daniel Craig...so many good choices
Storm - Someone with charisma. Storm is a badass character, but the movies have not done her justice because you need someone with real gravitas to bring her to life. A young Angela Bassett would have been perfect

reply

James Marsden played Cyclops like an idiot.

reply

He was written as an idiot, insecure and submissive to Wolverine

Not much Marsden could do with such a poorly written character

reply

LOL Richard "Robb Stark" Madden as Wolverine? Are you kidding me? LMAO.

Your other choices look good though.

reply

This is not gonna happen, MCU won't touch X-Men for atleast 10 years

reply

They didn't wait long with Spiderman though. It wouldn't surprise me if we started hearing whoever being cast as Prof X, Logan etc early as next year or even this year (in order to introduce Xmen into MCU in 2020/21)

reply

The X-Men just doesn't fit well within the MCU. It raises too many questions such as where have mutants been the whole time? Its going to take time to lay those seeds properly.

Spiderman and all the baddies that come along with him can be rebooted at any time. Sony wanted to reboot the character and Disney wanted to incorporate him into the MCU. So they cut a deal and we got teenage Spiderman. Its still Sony's character though and can do whatever they want with him.

reply

They'll introduce XMen via the multiverse. I guess that way they could actually keep Fassbender/McAvoy etc if they wanted. but they won't and especially not after Dark Phoenix. (Had it been a huge hit and 93% on RT wed might be seeing them in MCU somehow..then again it wouldn't really link up timewise with Charles/Erik should be looking like Stewart/McKellan if its set present/2023)

reply

Introducing them through the multiverse is still a challenge though. Not only will they be starting X-Men over but they will have to figure a way to connect the universes. And they will have to do it without cheapening it. If all the X-Men leave their universe to arrive in the MCU and all the other mutants are left behind then its not exactly X-Men. Taking two universes and combining them into one is a monumental undertaking. Unless they don't mind that it feels rushed and cheapened.

Paula Patton & Rebecca Ferguson, those are some nice choices. But we will maybe (and that's a big maybe) see one actor from this list in MCU, perhaps Emilia Clarke in case DC doesn't snatch her sooner. Most of the other actors are too old now, let alone having them wait a few more years till they get their chance on big screen.

Marvel should probably play this the same way they did when they started MCU: don't throw all the characters simultaneously (like DC did with their universe) but one or two characters per movie tops. Sure Black Panther has plenty of strong female characters to choose from but why not introducing Storm with BP2 or BP3? SpidermanFFH will arrive soon so the whole multiverse concept will probably be better explained, maybe Xmen will be from alternate timelines, maybe not. Who knows perhaps all the snaps affected certain individuals mutating their DNA? That scenario would change XMen's origins (Magneto can't be a holocaust survivor), but we've already seen pretty much the same story twice and this way that topic could be covered without prequels or flashbacks.
