It was awesome. Like being a kid again.

What a delightful throw back movie this turned out to be. There's nothing original going on here. It's basically like your 4 or 5 favorite movies of the genre all balled into this mess. But it's a fun mess. You're just throwing right in the mix of crazy crap going on. Lots of big monsters smashing stuff up. The entire focus of the film is just Milla Milla Milla. So much delightful screen time of her beautiful face. She's sort of a cheeseball girl power character, but she gets her ass kicked all over the place which is refreshing. Tony Jaa is really awesome in this. He's super intense. They also didn't sweep aside the language barrier 20 minutes in. That was nice. There's a bunch of side characters, but they get almost zero attention. They're just a backdrop. The whole movie is just a series of monster battles, as advertised. Mini-boss, some wandering monsters, then the Boss Monster. Buddy, if you folks enjoyed some of the finer points of Reign of Fire, you're gonna love this! There's virtually no story. And while it's never a goof, the movie never takes itself too seriously, that's what made it work so well. Pretty cool soundtrack. They're jumping on that re-new-wave 80s synth band wagon. Saw it in a theater with "GTX" which basically meant the sound was so loud the seats shook. Pretty cool. Really good rumbling sound movie, should be a terror for the home surround systems. There was about 40 people in the theater, a bunch of families. It was great. Just like old times.

I doubt even most kids would like this junk.
