One of the best tv show is history

Amazing in every single way.

I completely agree. I wish there were more comments here about the show to read and discuss.

My take is that this show is in the top 10 of my lifetime, all-time favorite TV shows. Interestingly, another one on my list is also out of Spain called El Barco.

Hollywood needs to take notice that viewers are finding foreign-produced entertainment to be better than the agenda-driven pap they are producing.

Netflix took some heat for introducing more foreign entertainment, but I'm glad they did. There is some really good stuff to be seen.

I think going for season 3 is a mistake, from my point of you.
It was not needed.

I'm only 3 episodes in. But I have so many questions about possible plot holes. Once they leave the place, can't the government track all the serial number of bills printed out over the last hours or days and mark them? So that they can't use the money. I would assume the Professor must've thought of that. But that's still bugging me.

I gathered from the way that they printed the money that they introduced their own serial numbers, and then planned to destroy those records before they leave. That's why it was the perfect crime.

That makes total sense! Thanks :)

My question is how anybody these days can spend 10,000 in cash anywhere without drawing attention from the authorities, let alone 1 billion.

I'm halfway through now. At some point they mentioned something about trading into different currencies. I can see now that professor thought of many things. We'll see! lol

I finished watching it yesterday. I stayed up all through the night watching the last few episodes because I just couldn't bear to turn it off and go to bed without knowing what happens next. The ending was magnificent.

Definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. I do have some criticisms, at how a lot of the characters kept doing stupid things due to emotion, but people are like that I guess (though it's strange that these super well-prepared people in a situation where the slightest mistake could prove fatal would do it so much).

Also, the beautiful renditions of Bella Ciao gave me goosebumps.

It's so bad it's good. It's The Room of TV shows.

The first heist had silly moments, but the second is so ridiculous you just can't take this show seriously.

I'm in the same camp as you. I liked the first 2 seasons, but then I started watching season 3 and had to give up about half way through. So many improbabilities, starting with Tokyo and Rio living for two years on a postage-stamp sized island. The second heist seemed like a rerun of the first but with too many ridiculous plot points, like how did they manage to get that bathyscaphe and the gold smelter into the bank. Maybe that was explained, but then I missed it from getting too bored with the whole thing. The show could have ended after season 2, and it would have been fine. But I suppose it was too much of a money maker for the producers to let it go.

Sorry but i dont agree. I started watching it recently and couldn't continue after the 1st 4 episode of season 1. Was terribly cheesy, cliched and boring. Its just a Spanish family soap opera that takes place inside a mint/bank and what not.

reply

Agree. My post was after the first season, which, IMHO, was very good, ignoring the drama. But it became a full soap opera, as you said. Completely over top and now they are just milking it with spinoffs.
