I tried to watch this again for a second time, and it's even worse this time.

Now that it's up for free on Amazon Prime, I tried to watch "Dark Fate" for a second time, and it's just too bad to get through. It's amazing they thought rehashing all the same scenarios from all the other Terminator flicks would work. I shut it off right after the first car chase scene.

It's hard to believe that Cameron, Hamilton and Arnold all thought this was a good idea. It's not like any of them needed the money.

I've actually watched this about 6 or 7 times since it came out, I really enjoy it.

I also watched number 3 and Genisys on the weekend and Dark fate is definitely alot better than those.

I AGREE WITH DAVODIKUM....IVE WATCHED IT 4 TIMES...ITS A GREAT FLICK...NO MATCH FOR THE FIRST TWO BUT WHAT IS?...IT BEATS THE HELL OUT OF THE OTHER SEQUELS...I LIKE IT A LOT.

I tried to watch it again after watching a bunch of funny AF youtube vids rip it to shreds, but I didn't even make five minutes. It's horrible. Not even funny to watch as a goof.

I did the same thing with the Christian Bale flick and i've actually come to enjoy that thing. It was the theory that every time they change they past, they change the future, which changes the past again. Once I started looking at it that way, the sequels are more tolerable.

But not this irredeemable POS!

reply

Well you said it yourself , if you watch a load of videos ripping it , you're not gonna be able to enjoy it "properly"
I never watch outakes of my favorite films /series because i dont wanna see the characters out of character

i want to give it another chance soon. i was a bit luke warm on it when i saw it in the theatre, but remember thinking the first 1/2 hr or so was great.

currently i'd slot it way above salvation & genisys, but below rise of the machines, which is an unfairly maligned film imo.

I just watched number 3, and while not terrible, I just thought the action was a bit generic or lackluster.

i think the big chase sequence with the (i think?) crane is really good, but otherwise i agree it's pretty pedestrian as far as action sequences go.

but i think it works pretty well as a story, and i've always appreciated its dark ending.

i don't think it's anywhere close to the first two, of course, but i think it's a perfectly watchable, somewhat better than average large scale action film. which is more than i'd ever say about salvation or genisys.

I also liked the ending of number 3.

Pure garbage

I liked it but couldn't stand Sarah's snotty attitude and snark...

As an action movie, it's bearable.

As a chapter in the Terminator series it was a hard fail.

For many fans of the originals (1/2) it was just annoying AF that they killed off the main character with no fanfare... no meaning to his death. That whole epic and dramatic scene at the end of T2 where the T-800 gives John and Sarah a thumbs up -- "we won" -- as it sacrificed itself for the future of humanity was meaningless.

Then they simply returned to the same damn story that's already been told in 5 of the 6 movies. Killer robot from the future... run!

And, the time travel logic -- which was always shaky at best -- completely falls apart in this movie.

"The futures not set , the only fate is what we make"
Is what your beloved T2 taught us,
therefore JC can get blown away it doesent matter storywise.
