2019 has seen the end of both Terminator and Xmen franchises . Both bombs had interchangeable titles. ending in pretty much identical box office embarrassment (60m domestic/250m ww)..oh and both Fox

Funny to think just a few years ago Xmen was riding high at the box office & critics doing its own take on the blue night future war better than any of the post T2 sequels! as well as an endoskeleton dude being sent back in time to prevent humanity being wiped out - also the 5th movie as a time converging film with old cast/new cast and taking on from first 2 with same director/correcting 3 that everyone rats on and resurrecting dead characters

Both also marketed themselves as atonement for a previous "bad" end of the original trilogy (The Last Stand/Rise of the Machine) but got a more scathing response than the "bad" film they were made to supposedly "correct" and bring their franchise back to greatness. The "bad" film they dismissed and tried to recon actually got a mildly positive response at the time.

Absolutely very well noticed. Maybe these movies should be held as a warning not to 'correct' previous intallments
