Some say that Sarah's actions in T2 caused John's death? That's hilariously stupid.

The direct result of destroying Cyberdyne was that SkyNet never existed in the future thus no war and instead a new A.I would take over.

But it wasn't Sarah's actions that killed John, nor was it Legions own doing. What killed John was a T800 sent back by SkyNet before Cyberdyne was even destroyed.

So ignore ppl who say that it was the price Sarah pays for destroying Cyberdyne - that's drama bullshit and most likely hype to further drill into us how "Terminator has always been Sarah's story" which is also bullshit.

John was killed due to shitty writing and that's it. Had Sarah and Co. never destroyed Cyberdyne, then that T800 still would have terminated John at the beach bar if that was his true fate. And we all know what his true fate is: to survive and lead humanity against the machines.

Makes you wonder if the writers gave this any thought at all - and it's apparent they didn't. I find the fact that he was killed by a terminator sent by Skynet to be at best, lazy writing. It really stretches my imagination to believe that multiple terminators were sent back to pop up at different times and one of them just happened to end up in Guatemala of all places. Laughable!!! Why were John and Sarah even at that beach bar? They should have been in hiding.

So, I agree - John's death has nothing to do with the destruction of Cyberdyne. I can buy into an altered future if that is the way they wanted the story to go, but it wasn't necessary to kill him off to continue down another path.

Yeah so true. I left a post on here a while ago ripping the death scene of John because none of it made sense whatsoever lol! For example, would Sarah even have her back to the entrance of the bar?! And who wouldn't be able to spot a 6 foot Austrian bodybuilder walk in with a shotgun?
