Do you think they'll continue the trilogy they had planned?
I kinda hope so, but with Dark Fate's box office stats, I kinda doubt it....

shareNo
shareA complete do over would be the only way I think to make any new trilogy for terminator institute of claiming to be a sequel to the old films like they did with the new apes trilogy
shareThat was Genisys.
shareSalvation also claimed to be the start of a "new trilogy" and even announced the followup film would show the creation of the T-1000 and get Robert Patrick back to reprise his role. Obvious that didn't happen when the movie got a lousy response.
So now T4, T5, and T6 have all claimed to be the start of a "new trilogy" and none of them has. They are, however, their OWN Trilogy of Crap!
PAHAHAHAHAHA (apologies to the terminator fan in me)
shareSalvation had an actual new story to tell. It failed because it became the movie that Bale blew up on a crew member.
shareJust bury it. They're well and truly flogging a dead horse by this stage. They just need to accept that it's a dead franchise and let it go.
shareYou know, I think they could get Arnold's kid to be the new termina...aw, screw it this is OVER!
shareThey should have gone back to basics with this film. Huge opportunity missed with Cameron back.
shareThis is the first time, in many years, a Terminator film actually wants me to see more.
But seeing how it is doing, it might not happen.
Maybe it is best if this is the last one. It fixed the timeline and it was a good movie. It is a good moment to end the franchise.
