This franchise is a dead horse

This franchise is long dead after T2 and the dead horse has been beaten as this franchise is like a recessative shambling zombie that's what is, it should be shot in the head so it won't shuffle around anymore searching for new life! i feel the story ended well with T2 as Skynet was finally destroyed and John and Sarah moved on with their lives.

I mean, your just gonna keep getting diminishing returns and when that happens let it die, come up with new franchises! let it rest in peace.

Yup when are they going to move on to something new? It's the same thing with Star Trek, Aliens, Predator, Star Wars and probably a few more I can't think of right now. Give us something new instead of wringing every last drop out of the reputation of the originals. Making characters female, black or gay is all they can do it seems.

John Wick is a new franchise and i support it! and i'm glad audiences are too.

Yet Mission Impossible is doing strong as ever

I give Marvel credit for wrapping some of their biggest moneymakers up and moving on, rather than letting the Avengers become an embarrassment like the "Terminator" or "Pirates" films.

People seem pretty jazzed about the new trailer, but to me it looked like the exact same shit we've seen before, just with even slicker fancier visual effects. They just keep remaking the same movie and same stunts over and over again.

Strange how on Reddit r/movies the trailer reveal came with much praise, people spamming "take my money" and all positive comments from 1 day old accounts.

Any criticism got downvoted to oblivion and attacked.

A day later r/movies have large user count discussion about it and its all pretty much negative, saying the exact same thing that was getting downvoted, soulless CGI cartoon with ninjas floating around in slow motion.

reply

People seem jazzed up? It has quite a few dislikes on Youtube and I can see why. More of the same substandard quality of the other sequels following T2, appealing to kids who aren't old enough to see through all the illogical crap that'll be thrown at them.

reply

My question is why is Cameron always just producing these?

The absolutely only way this franchise could ever recover is if Cameron returned as writer/director. Instead of making four Avatar sequels that no one wants, come back and save YOUR franchise.

reply

He got the rights back so he is really is doing this for the money, even though by now he probably doesn't need any. It's all just a waste of time, the trailer looks the same ole same ole'.

reply

I hope this is the last one and is a strong true finish so this can be watched as the True T3

reply

I agree but still jeep hoping for a good comeback for some reason.
