Good show

Crime drama about the involvement of the CIA in the Los Angeles cocaine epidemic during the eighties. Seems like FX's answer to Narcos. Pretty good so far. Damson Idris plays Franklin Saint... a bright kid from the hood who went to a wealthy white private school and is trying to negotiate both worlds as an ambitious coke dealer. Emily Rios who was Andrea in Breaking Bad plays Lucia... a daughter from a crime family who's trying to make her own mark. Carter Hudson is Teddy, an exiled agent who wants to get back in the game. Nothing you haven't seen in other shows like The Wire, The Shield, Southland... but a likeable cast makes you want to see what happens.

Yeah, I'll go along with "good" so far... The first couple episodes have held my interest so I'll keep watching for now. I like how there are 3 different storylines occurring that sort of encapsulate the white, brown, and black divisions of Los Angeles, which I expect at some point to connect. I hope the show doesn't devolve into standard gang/crime cliches, at least not too many anyway. I get the sense that the character of Franklin is intended to be a sort of Walter White for this show...someone basically good who will be corrupted by his involvement in the drug world. I hope that doesn't became too blatant without somehow managing to stay "real."

Im enjoying it very much
The main story about the young hustler is the best part imo...
Damson Idris has a certain something that a lot of young actors lack
Ill keep an eye on him...he could really be a big star
