Buster Scruggs is one of the best comedy western characters EVER! SPOILER ALERT.

I love Buster! Here's this funny-looking, harmless appearing innocent little guy, singing cowboy songs to his horse... A parodical image of the 1930s Roy Rogers singing cowboys... Yet he is ALSO a cold-blooded master gunfighter whose skills exceed even The Man With No Name from Eastood's spaghetti westerns! I wish there was a whole movie just about Buster. I think I'll make my Red Dead Redemption character based on Buster Scruggs.

He could easily have carried a two hour movie. I mean, if Pee Wee Herman could have two movies and a TV series...

Buster Scruggs is like some Bugs Bunny cartoon directed by Sergio Leone and Sam Peckinpah.

I agree - I could’ve watched two hours of Buster’s antics easily, not that I didn’t enjoy the rest of the movie.

....i also agree that this movie would have been better if they just made a 90 minute "Buster Scruggs" movie.

My favorite character and favorite story of the movie very funny and full of action, overall the movie was good i hope the Coens make a standalone movie about Scruggs the character have potential

I’m glad I’m not the only one who believes that Buster should’ve gotten his own full length movie. He is hands-down more than capable of carrying an entire movie - the writers missed a huge opportunity. I remember thinking that the outlaw he shot but ended up sparing would come back to wreak revenge on him later.

My uncle and I loved Buster Scruggs, and it took us by surprise when Buster died really early in the movie and everything else that happened after that had nothing to do with Buster. We’ll come back to Netflix and watch it many times, and we will stop when Buster Scruggs story ends because we feel like it’s the one story about really worth watching. Not only is it funny and amusing, but it has a way of just staying with you and making an impression on you.

The rest of the stories are dark and super depressing.
