Low budget fun

I’m a fan of low budget horror movies, and Werewolf Island certainly fits the bill. The story is convoluted, the acting is iffy, and the editing needs to really be tightened. Still, the filmmakers had their heart in the right place and do the best with what they had. Top honors for acting go to the Indian dad/chief. His role is small, but he’s a good actor.

Werewolf Island has no werewolf, and, as far as I can tell, no island. However, if you like low budget, homegrown horrors, you could do a lot worse.

The title is outright fraud. The alleged Indian chief looked African American. If you want low budget fun, which I quite enjoy, check out anything by Full Moon Productions. Their stuff makes this look like used toilet paper.
