Horror movie as in HORRIBLE...!!! This was such a stinker. The mother & daughter acting was bottom of the barrel. And the writing... ugh. She goes from some tough talking brat to a weepy "mommy" help me brat. Mommy... every time she calls her "mommy" I wanted to hurl.
shareI agree with most of what you said. I thought the climax was very anti-climactic. I would've liked to have seen a chase followed by a struggle between Sylvie and Julie and then Sylvie and Ellen. A missed opportunity for some suspense, in my opinion. Sorry, it's the writer in me. A 6 at best.
shareI agree. I actually wanted mom to allow her to rot a bit behind bars for the teen's attitude towards her. Mom's reactions to different scenarios like the initial confrontation by the over-dramaticized detectives (particularly Jaleel White) really had me lose some interest in the movie. Why would a lawyer behave the way she did during such a scenario especially during the search warrant? The audacity of Julie to be a little snotty bitch with mom just didn't flow right me given the circumstances; then again she is still a "teenager". I still think it was all poorly played out. But overall it was ok for a one time watch. I guess that's the most I can ask for in a Lifetime movie. ["Mommy!!!".... ugh.]
