I found it funny that in this one, he said that "we won" the mom's case, as though he's the reason she didn't go to jail. Loved how Julie basically shot that down, pointing out that he had been fired and that her mom (Ellen) had handled her own defense and won. Would have been funny if there had been a news crew there, with the story being that the mom, who had been on trial before but was found not guilty, was now defending her own daughter. Then for Ed to comment that he represented Ellen in the first trial (and make that comment about their winning), with the daughter piping up that same comment. Would have made him look like a fool on TV and likely would have hurt his reputation and number of clients. While I'm sure the actor is nice and all, the lawyer (as written) is just a self promoting idiot who is lucky to win any cases at all.
