I'm 54 minutes in.
Don't spoil the ending. But, my money is leaning towards Sylvie, the 'best friend'. The reason is because Sylvie has been the only other person in their house that's close enough to Julie that she could manipulate evidence. The diary, for instance. The knife. Usually friends will tell their bestie about a diary before they tell their parents.
But, don't tell me. I am watching this on my DVR so I can FF the ads.
I'll see in the end.
Side note: Ed Flynn gets on my nerves.

Ok. So it was Sylvie. Glad I got it right. I had a strong feeling. But, why didn't they do something about the scorned Dutton wife who obviously lied through her teeth? She was jealous. Sylvie was extremely jealous of Julie.
But, at the very end, 'Ben' mentioned about Plainview & Plainview. He talked about it being a book series.
So, is this a hint that there will be more Plainview Mysteries on LMN?
I'd watch them. I just want them written a little better than this one.

I do not think Dutton's wife lied, unless she was covering for Sylvie
