Was the courtroom proceedings terrible?

I found the courtroom proceedings lacking a lot of realisms. I think the director needs to sit in on a couple of real trials to actually see what goes on instead of showing a trial that's more about a mother expressing her feelings about dealing with her daughter. Making the prosecution and the police look totally bias and non-caring for justice, tells me the director needs to do more homework when doing trial movies.

Prosecutor was rolling her eyes. It was ridiculous ??

Defense atty aka Winnie Cooper kept rolling her eyes too.

Agreed. The entire movie was just bad. Winnie Cooper needs to stop acting...she was ok in The Wonder Years but wow was she bad in this. The daughter was pretty good as was the daughter's bestie. Even the daughter's boyfriend. The rest, not so much. Urkel as the bad cop/detective was laughable....literally!! And Norm...why was he even in the movie...the role he played didn't fit in with the rest of the movie...it was just odd. It's like they wrote it in so they could have yet another old sitcom star in the movie.

Danica should have stuck to being a mathlete. (A word I first heard on "The Wonder Years"!) Acting is not her forte. The script was God awful anyway, her bad acting and Jaleel's made it all the more hilarious.

I want to give most of the actors a break on this one. There were some talented veterans from other TV shows in this movie that always gave creditable performances in years past. I just thought the writing and directing was less than good and they didn't take advantage of most of the acting talent available for this movie.

100%. I'm glad I didn't watch this with anyone and turn it into a drinking game for every time the investigation and court proceedings are inaccurate. I. Would. Be. Sloshed.
