Differences from the play?
I noticed the running time for the play is a good 40 minutes longer, not including the interval.
Apart from addition of the BBC specific / TV studio scenes, what are the differences?
Change in the narrator from the leader of the amatuer dramatic troupe to David Suchet.
Some of the stagehands have become the BBC crew instead.
The whole of an underwater sequence was cut.
