Are you scared yet?

Because we have software that can take one pixel and turn it into a high res, detailed, totally accurate license plate picture.
This show is just made to scare you.
Is it working?
Maybe you can let just anyone in your house because "they need to"?
Do you feel more stupid yet?
I'm so happy i don't live in America...

Feel attacked much these days?
Thanks for proving my point. lol

as bad as america looks right now, this show doesn't make me scared. in the real world you don't have to let anyone in your home without a warrant and one phone call from a possible burner cellphone is not nearly enough for the police to get one. i'm assuming that the contestants and their accomplices have to sign a contract saying that they understand they will be disqualified if they don't cooperate because if someone came knocking on my door and asking about people i know, i would just close it in their face. i also wouldn't agree to answer any questions or talk on the phone. it would be super easy for the players to just camp out in a friend's house if they were allowed to refuse all communication when the hunters have circumstantial evidence at best. this show has some interesting processes being portrayed, but not all of them are accurate to the american legal system.

There are lots of rules and practices that they don't advertise. So, when the players meet a stranger and start to talk to them, the producer -- standing right there -- steps in and explains what is going on and offers them a release to sign and maybe a few dollars. The paper they sign requires them to play along -- to a certain degree -- with the hunters. So, you do have to talk to the hunters and answer their questions. They can lie all they want, however, but they must play along at least a little.

So, in the "search" of the friends' house, the guy required to talk to the investigators and they pressured him into letting them search. He didn't have to.

As for camping out in a friend's basement, that's fine for a few days, but I believe the rules require you to keep moving. I don't know how much, but I'd guess that you have to move 50 miles every 72 hours.

I mean, those rules are there to keep people from doing exactly what you suggest. Would you watch a show where 18 people hid behind boxes in the basement for a month?

i wouldn't, and that was my point. that for the sake of the show there have to be rules in place, but even in a manhunt for real fugitives people's rights aren't going to violated like this.

I actually would because it would be real and interesting to watch how they would track and find people but hardly any of these series are real any more.
Lately "fake news" is a hot topic, well...
How about fake tv, what about cgi commercials?
Maybe something should be done about fake people, there are plenty of those around... :)
Fake, fake, fake, it's the new reality and it kind of saddens and sickens me to see it is being allowed to go on with everyone's attitude being "meh, what can you do..?"

The bulk of detective work is to sit around and wait for the perp to do something stupid. Like, maybe you confess to your girlfriend and then she rats on you when you break up. Even on this show each case can go cold for two weeks.

If you built a show where all the teams hide for 28 days, the hunters could and would do nothing. Lame!

I'm still trying to figure out why the Tran's took the Interstate Highway instead of just taking the back roads, which are all paved mind you, to get to the ATM and lunch area. How can you be so ridiculous? The Interstate Highway System is heavily surveilled, at ALL times.
